How do I create a Vuzz account?

  1. Lunch the application and select “Sign Up” on the login screen.
  2. Tap the “Username” field and enter your username. Please note that you cannot change your username once your account has been created. The following guidelines to be used when choosing a username:
    1. Number of characters must be between 4 and 25 characters.
    2. Permitted special characters are “-”, “_” and “.”.
    3. It should not start or end with the special characters.
    4. It should not contain 2 consecutive special characters.
    5. Do not use or contains the words “admin”, “Vuzz” or “Vuzzapp” to avoid the brand confusion.
  3. Tap the “Email Address” field and enter your email address. The email address used will not be visible to other users on Vuzz. An email address can only be associated with one Vuzz account at a time. Please make sure to enter an email address that you have access to and that it is typed correctly when signing up. The following are guidelines for the Email address:
    1. The maximum number of characters is 40 characters.
    2. Permitted special characters for the local part of the email Address are “+”, “.”, “_”, “%” and “-”.
    3. Email address should contain only one “@” symbol and should not terminate with a “.”.
    4. The domain part following the “@” symbol can be alphanumeric and can contain only the “-” special character but “-” cannot be the first character after the “@” symbol.

  4. Tap the “Password” field and enter your password. The password must be between 6 and 40 characters. Refer to Safety Center for more information about password selection and protection.
  5. Tap the “Confirm Password” field and re-enter your password.
  6. Tap the Sign Up button. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address used for signing up. To activate your account, click on the activation button in the confirmation email. You must activate your account within 24 hours otherwise your newly created account will be cancelled. If you don’t receive your confirmation email, check your spam or junk folder. You can also add the domain “vuzzapp.com” to your safe senders list.
  7. Once your account is activated, you will be ready to broadcast! Just navigate to the login screen, enter your username or email and your password and tap login.

Why am I getting the message "Sign In Failed"?

This can be one of the following reasons:

  • The email address or username you have entered is not registered.
  • The password you have entered is incorrect. Refer to Account and Settings to learn how to recover your account password.
  • Your account might have not been activated from the sign up confirmation email. Please refer to the Sign up for Vuzz section for more information.
  • Your account might have been hacked, try to reset your account password and create a new one through your profile edit section. If you need further assistance, please visit the Safety Center.
  • Your account may have been blocked or deleted by the admin due to violating Vuzz’s Terms of Service.

How do I change or reset my password?

If you forgot your password, you can reset your password by following the next steps:

  1. Tap “Forgot Password?”.
  2. Enter your Username or Email address then tap “Send Link” to reset your password.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email for your password reset request.
  4. Tap the Reset Password button in the confirmation email. You will navigate to the change password page.
  5. Enter your new password and confirm it then tap the “Change password” button.
  6. You will receive a confirmation email for your password update.

For security reasons, we are unable to reset a password if:

  • The email address you are writing from is not associated with the account.
  • You do not know the associated email address of the account.
  • You do not have access to the email address linked to the account.

How can I edit my profile?

To edit your profile, tap on Edit icon on top right corner of your profile screen. You will be able to do the following:

  • Edit your profile photo (1 x 1 ratio i.e. 500x500 pixels).
  • Edit your background photos (3 x 1 ratio i.e. 1500x500 pixels).
  • Edit your full name (limited to 25 characters).
  • Edit your text biography (limited to 160 characters).
  • Edit your voice biography (limited to 20 seconds).
  • Edit your website link (limited to 100 characters).
  • Choose your country.
  • Update your email address.
  • Change your password.
  • Turn private account ON or OFF.

How can I find my friends on Vuzz?

  1. Tap the search icon in the bottom tabs to navigate to the search screen.
  2. Make sure the search category is set to “People” then type the username or any part of the name in the search bar then tap “Search” from the keyboard.
  3. You can invite friends by SMS or email by tapping on “Tell a Friend” under the settings section. You can navigate to the settings section from the channels list (menu) by tapping the settings icon.

Why was my account suspended?

Due to violating Vuzz’s Terms of Service.

How can I sign out from my account?

Navigate to the channels list and tap the settings icon then navigate to the bottom and choose “Sign Out”.

How can I unfollow a user?

Navigate to your Following section under your profile then tap the follow icon of the user you want to unfollow. You can also unfollow a user by navigating to their profile then tap the follow icon to unfollow.

How can I remove a follower from my followers list?

Navigate to your Followers section under your profile then swipe left on the user you want to remove from your followers then tap the delete option.

What is a private account?

A private account allows only approved followers to access and listen to your casts and view your following and followers list. To switch your account to private, navigate to your profile, select edit and turn private account to the on position.

How can I update my email address?

   - Tap the Edit icon on top right of your profile section.

   - Tap on your registered email address to navigate to the “Change Email” section.

   - Enter your New Email Address and Current Password in the fields provided then tap “Done”.

   - You will receive a confirmation email on the new email address you have entered. Confirm updating your email address by tapping the “Update Email” button.

I no longer have access to the email address linked to the account.

   - You can login to your account using your email address and Password.

I cannot remember the email address I have used for registering my Vuzz account?

   - You can login to your account using your email address and Password.

   - If your password is not working, reset your password by selecting “Forgot Password?” under the login screen.

I cannot remember the email address I have used for registering my Vuzz account?

   - You can login to your account using your Username and Password. You will find your registered email address in your profile edit section.

    - If your password is not working, reset your password by selecting “Forgot Password” under “Need Help?”.

I have requested to reset my password, but I did not receive the password reset request email.

   - Please check your spam or junk folder on your registered email address or search for emails from Vuzz. You can also add the domain vuzzapp.com to your safe senders list.

   - You may have entered an incorrect Email or Username when requested a password reset. Please try requesting another password reset by entering your correct information.

   - If none of the mentioned above worked, please contact our support team by filling the support form under the “Contact Us” section.

My account is hacked, what shall I do?

If you think someone has an unauthorized access to your account or you are unable to login using your credentials, please follow these instructions:

  1. Change your password
     If you are able to login to your account but you have noticed strange activities such as broadcasts are shared by someone else through your account, please try changing your password as soon as possible through your profile.
  2. Request a password
     reset If you cannot login using your credentials, try to reset your password by selecting “Forgot Password” and entering the email address or user name associated to your Vuzz account then select “Done”. A reset password link will be sent to your registered email address. Opening that link will direct you to a page where you will be able to reset your password. Please read the safety tips for your account before resetting your password.
