Find broadcasts with a specific topic

  1. Tap on the search icon from the bottom tabs.
  2. Make sure the search category is set to “Casts”, then type in the key words for the topic of interest in the search bar and tap “Search” from the keyboard.
  3. All broadcasts with titles related to the search keywords entered will be displayed. You can select any broadcast from the search results for continuous play stream to the most recently added broadcast.

Find friends and users

You can do the following:

  1. Search for users using the search option. Make sure the search category is set to “People” then type the username or any part of the name in the search bar and tap “Search” from the keyboard.
  2. You can invite friends by SMS or email by tapping on “Tell a Friend” under the settings section. You can navigate to the settings section from the channels list by tapping the settings icon.

Find broadcasts with a hashtag

Broadcasts can be shared to public channels or privately to followers. However, if you want to create a special public channel for a specific topic or add a broadcast to an existing channel, you can share a broadcast as a hashtag and it will be searchable to all users i.e. #sport #music #politics #celebrities #weather #Ellen. The process will be as follows:

  1. Tap on the search icon from the bottom tabs.
  2. Make sure the search category is set to “Hashtags”, then type in the topic of interest in the search bar and tap “Search” from the keyboard. You can also select from the trending hashtags.
  3. All broadcasts with hashtags related to the search keywords entered will be displayed in the search results. Tapping on a hashtag from the search results will navigates you to another screen where you will be able to select any broadcast from the list for continuous play stream to the most recently added broadcast.

Find broadcasts from a specific location

  1. Tap on the search icon from the bottom tabs.
  2. Make sure the search category is set to “locations”, then type in the location of interest in the search bar and tap “Search” from the keyboard. You can find broadcasts near your location by selecting “Your current location”. You can also search using the map by selecting “Pick on map”. You have to enable the location service on your device to use this option.
  3. All broadcasts from locations related to the search keywords entered or picked from the map will be displayed. You can select any broadcast from the search results for continuous play stream to the most recently added broadcast.
  4. If the location you have picked did not return any results, you can tap “Expand search” to expand the search area radius for the nearby locations.

How can I make sure my friends can find me on Vuzz?

Although using your real name is optional, entering it will enable other users to find you using the search feature. Adding broadcasts to public channels can also help your friends recognizing you.

How can I search for locations using the map?

Tap on the search icon then choose “locations” from the search categories then tap “Pick on map”. You will then be able to pick the location from the map. You can also pick from nearby locations or expand the search results in case there were no broadcasts near the location you have picked. “Find a location” will enable you to search for a specific place such as Shopping Mall, Coffee Shop, Street name, etc.
