Welcome to the Support Center
When you first login to the application, you will be navigated to the home listen screen where you will be able to start listening to broadcasts. The default channel after login will be the World channel. You can switch to another channel by selecting it from the channels list using the option button at the upper left corner of the screen or by swiping right. You can also search for a public channel using the search bar on top of the channels list. The last channel you listen to will open automatically the next time you launch the application.
After choosing a channel, simply select any broadcast in the list and enjoy a continuous audio broadcast stream from your selection until the most recently added broadcast in the channel, or use the backward icon on top right corner to choose and play from a list of most recent broadcasts i.e. play most recent 300 casts.
Switching to the Following channel will allow you to view, interact and listen only to the users you are following. Whisper allows you to exchange direct voice messages with a mutual follower or group of followers.
Are channels representing a country in addition to the world channel, are opened for all users to listen, share and interact i.e. Reply, Download, Share, etc…
The currently playing broadcast information will be fixed on top of the broadcasts list showing the user profile picture, username (full name if provided), broadcast title (if provided), broadcast location (if provided) and URL link (if provided). You can navigate to the user’s profile by tapping the profile picture. Time shared, number of replies, amplifies and listeners will be shown in the highlighted blue currently playing cast in the timeline.
New Broadcasts notification will show up on top of the broadcasts list indicating that there are new broadcasts shared in the channel. Tapping on “New Broadcasts” will load recently added broadcasts.
The following options can be performed to a broadcast:
Tapping the pause icon will pause the currently playing broadcast. The pause icon will switch to a play icon and tapping it will resume playing the paused broadcast.
Tapping the Reply icon on the currently playing broadcast will navigate you to the reply section where you will be able to listen to all the replies to that broadcast in a continue stream. You can also reply to that broadcast by tapping the record icon under the Reply section.
Amplify is an expression of like in Vuzz. Tapping the Amplify icon means you have liked the broadcast and a notification will appear in the users Notifications section.
You can follow any user by tapping the Follow icon. You will be able to view the list of Followers and Followings in your profile section.
You can download a broadcast by tapping the Download icon. You will be able to play the downloaded broadcasts from the Media section under your profile. The downloaded media will only be saved locally in your device and will not appear if you logged in another device.
You can share a broadcast by tapping the share icon where you will be able to share it via Facebook, Twitter and other apps or you can simply copy the link and share it in other apps.
Recast is a feature that lets you share other user broadcasts to your followers. To Recast a broadcast, tap the share icon then Pick from your followers under the Recast section or tap the arrow to navigate to your complete list of followers and choose who you want to recast it to. Recasts will appear in the users Notifications section.
You can report an inappropriate content or policy violation by tapping the flag icon and choosing from the options available.
Who can listen to my broadcasts?
Your followers and all the people tuned-in to the channel you broadcasted to.
Why follow someone in Vuzz?
Users can share broadcasts to all their followers or directly to some of their followers. Followers will get notified when the users they follow shares a broadcast and can listen to all their broadcasts in a continuous stream in the Following channel.
Will I be able to do other tasks while listening to broadcasts?
Yes, the app support multitasking and it can run in the background.
Where can I listen to my own broadcasts?
You can listen to all your broadcasts in your profile under the Casts section. You can navigate to your profile by tapping on your profile picture or name on top of the channels list.
Can I listen to all broadcasts of a specific user?
Yes you can if the account is public or a private you are following. Simply navigate to that user profile and select any broadcast from the casts section, broadcasts will start to play continuously until the most recently shared broadcast.
How can I report a child under the age of 13 on Vuzz?
Vuzz is not intended for children under the age of 13. If your child is younger than 13 years and created an account on Vuzz, you can show them how to delete their account.
If you would like to report an account belonging to someone under the age of 13 or if you believe someone is impersonating your child who's under 13, please fill out this form. In order to delete a child's account, we'll need to verify that the child is under 13.
